White List and Black List

NetSafa® SecurEmail® allows its users the flexibility to define how they want to manage their email client. White List allows users to add in email addresses that they want to receive at all times, without going through the blocker. Eg. you always want to receive emails from john.smith@hisISP.com. You would add this email address into the White list. The same concept applies to the Black List; it just works in quite the opposite manner. This flexibility includes entering the email domain instead of addresses; eg. mail.com to the White or Black List. This gives companies greater flexibility to manage their NetSafa® SecurEmail®.

History Log

With History Log, you will never lose a single email. Here, you can view all emails sent to you, whether it is a SPAM email or not. If you decide that the email is not SPAM, you may 'Save to White List'. 'Save to Black List' is you decide not to receive anymore from the particular sender. There is an option to 'Clear Log' when the History Log list is no longer relevant to you, or if it gets too long.

However with the challenge-response (blocking) method, you might lose important emails that you are expecting such as when you do online shopping, the merchant will send an automated (unmanned) email for the confirmation of the purchase or receipts or license keys etc. And many a times, the merchant uses a third-party payment system, so there is no way for you to guess which email address or domain or even the subject in which that email will come from. And also, because it is unmanned, there is no one to reply to the blocker, so eventually that important email will never reach you. NetSafa® SecurEmail® has a solution to that problem. In the Options, you can notify the Blocker to inform you in advance when an email arrives. In this way, you can choose to either receive it or delete it proactively.

In addition, some emails send to you even from an known source, say a close friend or colleague, might contain some attachments with potentially dangerous virus infections or malicious codes like spywares or adwares. Using NetSafa® SecurEmail®, you can block the attachments with the following extension formats: .vbs, .bat, .pif, .exe, .scr and many others where you can self-define such as .pdf, .zip etc, to further increase the level of protection you require at your own discretion.
